Ripon Society talks GOP achievements over lunch

Key staff members of the House Majority Leader’s Office reflected on the GOP’s legislative achievements during the 113th Congress at a luncheon discussion hosted by The Ripon Society on Thursday.

More than 80 people attended the luncheon, including Chief of Staff Tim Berry, Deputy Chief of Staff Neil Bradley, Policy Director Mike Franc, Communications Director Mike Long, Director of Member Services Natalie Buchanan and Director of External Services Danielle Burr.

Jim Conzelman, president and CEO of The Ripon Society, said that despite it being a busy time of year with elections looming, the approaching close of the 113th Congress was a good time to look back at legislative achievements of the past two years.

“From pushing back on the (Obama) administration as it attempts to impose costly new regulations on the U.S. economy to working with the administration as it attempts to meet the ISIL threat, this has been a time of consequence for the House Majority,” Conzelman said. “The purpose of (Thursday’s) discussion was to hear about their work during this time, and learn about the work that remains to be done after the election.”
