U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello (R-PA) met with veterans to hear their concerns on Wednesday at the Veterans Multi-Service Center in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
The veterans town hall occurred during the Congressional August District Work Period, an opportunity for members of Congress to visit with their constituents in their districts’ communities.
Costello, a freshman House member, has made it a priority to help veterans and their families and was appointed in January to serve on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee during the 114th Congress.
“The opportunity to hear firsthand from veterans during this District Work Period is invaluable, and I appreciate receiving feedback and hearing their ideas on areas that can be improved to ensure veterans are receiving prompt and quality care,” Costello said.
On the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Costello serves on the Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs (DAMA) and Economic Opportunity Subcommittees.
Costello was elected to serve the people of the Sixth District of Pennsylvania in November. As a freshman member, he is serving on the following committees: Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and Veterans’ Affairs.
