Dold releases ‘Blueprint for a Better Iran Agreement’ video

After hearing testimony from U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Capitol Hill pertaining to the nuclear agreement with Iran, U.S. Rep. Robert Dold (R-IL) released a “Blueprint for a Better Iran Agreement” video on Tuesday, as part of his weekly “AskBob” Video Series.

“Settling for only containing a nuclear Iran is a grave mistake that leaves the long-term safety and security of the United States and our allies vulnerable to nuclear blackmail,” Dold said in the video’s introduction. “There is a way to get a better deal.”

On his weekly video series, Dold takes a question that has been submitted to his office  and provides an answer via video, which is then posted on YouTube and Facebook. Questions can be tweeted by using #AskBob or emailed through Dold’s website.

Earlier this year, Dold led a week-long trip to Israel, where he worked to bolster the United States’ relationship with Israel and review the impact that the pending Iran deal could have on America’s strongest and most important ally in the Middle East.

On that trip, Dold met with senior military and diplomatic officials, including Israeli Defense Minister Bogie Ya’alon, all of whom reiterated the critical importance of preventing the existence of a nuclear-armed Iran.

Dold is currently in his second term serving Illinois’ 10th Congressional District.
A native of northern Illinois, Bob was born at Evanston Hospital and grew up with his three sisters in the same house where his parents still reside.
