Miller, Michigan leaders discuss state’s growth prospects

U.S. Rep. Candice Miller (R-MI) joined with dozens of members from the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce for its annual State of the County Luncheon on Friday in Harrison Township, Michigan.

During the event, Miller and Michigan Lieutenant Gov. Brian Calley spent time with local business officials to discuss the state’s economy and its promising outlook for the future.

“St. Clair has experienced a boom of new economic development that has led to job growth and greater opportunities for local residents,” Miller said. “This economic expansion, driven by business leaders across the county, has made the Blue Water Area a great destination for tourists and an amazing place to call home. I tremendously enjoyed meeting with them today, and I commend them on their success.”

Made up of nearly 500 local businesses from various sectors, as well as dozens of volunteers and a 21-member board of directors, the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce works to advance the region to the highest level possible by developing economic success and supporting local businesses through collaboration, advocacy and member development.
