Crenshaw to honor veterans at special recognition ceremony

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw (R-FL) is accepting applications from Nassau County, Florida veterans who want to be honored at the 2015 Veterans Special Recognition Ceremony.

Applications must be submitted by Oct. 3 and must include a copy of the veteran’s DD-214.

“The Veterans Special Recognition Ceremony is one of the highlights of my year, and this fall I look forward to shining a spotlight on the contributions of Nassau County veterans,” Crenshaw said. “The event provides a welcome opportunity to honor the servicemen and women who put their lives on the line so that we may live in freedom. To show our appreciation, we will put our veterans center stage where they deserve to be. I encourage all who think they may be eligible to fill out an application.”

The date and location of the ceremony will be announced later.

Nassau County veterans who want to join the ceremony should contact Crenshaw’s district office in Jacksonville.

Additional information and the application are available at www.crenshaw.house.gov.

Completed applications and proof of eligibility should be mailed to: 1061 Riverside Ave., Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32204.
